Pastor Paul Wollner was called to serve as the fifth Senior
Pastor of Good Shepherd on December 13, 2009, and is excited for what God has in store for the ministries of Good Shepherd. He and his wife Katherine and their sons Luke and Grant look forward to growing in faith and fellowship each year with their Good Shepherd family.
Pastor Paul was ordained at Christ Chapel at the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina on June 19, 2005. Prior to his ordination, he received his Masters of Divinity from LTSS. As part of his seminary experience, Pastor Wollner served as Intern at All Saints Lutheran Church in Huntsville, Alabama, as Youth Director at Zion Lutheran Church in Lexington, South Carolina, and as a Chaplain at The University of North Carolina Hospitals. Prioir to coming to Good Shepherd, he served for five years as the pastor of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Prosperity, South Carolina.
Pastor Paul is originally from Altamonte Springs, Florida. He was introduced to the idea of being a pastor at an early age when his pastors at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Longwood encouraged him to think about ministry. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, balancing his studies with his passion for Gator football and basketball. During his college summers, he served as a counselor at Lutheridge in Arden, North Carolina. It was there he met his wife Katherine.
Pastor Paul looks forward to walking together with you on your journey of faith.
