Worship Services

For Lutherans, worship is an ever-changing and -growing experience. Connected with and central to everything we do, worship unites us in celebration, engages us in thoughtful dialogue, and helps us grow in faith. It grounds us in our Christian and Lutheran roots while demonstrating practical relevance for today's world.

Each week at Good Shepherd, our worship concentrates on celebrating God's love for us and proclaiming the Good News of God's overflowing grace and mercy. We gather for worship in our sanctuary surrounded by marvelous symbols of a loving God: stained glass that teaches of God's love in art; an Andover pipe organ that offers songs of praise, and loving, friendly people eager to share God's love through human relationships.

Our worship focuses on positives rather than negatives.

  • We want to share with you a loving God portrayed in the Scriptures and the joyous message of God's unconditional love for us all, revealed through his beloved son Jesus Christ.
  • We want church to be an uplifting experiene, not a discouraging or frightening one.
  • We want you to know you are welcome here.

Holy Communion is offered every Sunday at each service and at special festive events throughout the year.

8:30 a.m.

Good Shepherd offers a more contemporary style of worship on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. We worship in an informal atmosphere with lively music, God's word shared through Bible passages and in a message from the pastor, a time for prayer, and the celebration of God's love poured out in Holy Communion.

10:30 a.m.

Good Shepherd offers worship celebrations in traditional Lutheran style Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Our liturgical service features hymns, God's word in Scripture and sermon, an offering of prayers and gifts, and the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion. A variety of vocal and instrumental musicians offer their gifts of music at worship each week.

We invite you to join us at either of these worship services. We also offer a nursery with trained staff for children not old enough to sit through a worship service.

Please come and join us! We look forward to seeing you soon!
